C5 cameras captured the subject stealing parts from a parked motorcycle.
Authorities arrested Jesús ‘N’, a motorcycle taxi driver on the island of Cozumel, after being captured by C5 cameras while stealing parts from a parked motorcycle.
The event occurred last Sunday, May 5 at 4:27 p.m. in the Centro neighborhood, when the operators of the 911 emergency number received a report about a motorcycle taxi that stopped to extract parts from a parked motorcycle.
Thanks to Cozumel’s new video surveillance system, the person responsible was identified. In a joint action with the Municipal Police, the driver was arrested, who identified himself as Jesús ‘N’. He was transferred to the relevant authorities and faces charges for the crime of robbery.
The authorities urge citizens that, if they identify and have been a victim of this subject, they file a corresponding report so that the full weight of the law falls on them.
