The state of Sonora contributes 30% of the national livestock export, placing it in second place in the country, reported Governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño when participating in the inauguration of the 88th edition of the National Livestock Convention.
The health and safety of livestock activity in the entity have allowed it to receive national and international recognition, which facilitates the shipment of agricultural products to other countries without restriction.

In this meeting, where members of the livestock union from all over the country participated, this activity was recognized as a symbol of culture and economic development, also highlighting the participation of women in this activity.

Víctor Manuel Villalobos Arámbula, Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development, recognized the work of the more than 800 thousand livestock farmers that make up this sector at the national level, grouped in 2,036 local livestock associations, 48 regional livestock unions, 48 registered livestock associations , and six regional livestock unions of pig farmers distributed throughout the country.
