Rogelio Lozano Calderón, president of the Mexican Association of Hotels and Motels of Zihuatanejo, noted that, although such incidents have not been reported among his guests, the media has reported robberies and assaults on stretches of the highway, especially in the state. from Michoacan.
Lozano Calderón stressed the need for the authorities of both states to implement an effective strategy to combat this crime. He warned that, if not properly addressed, these incidents could deter visitors from traveling to the Costa Grande.
