American man deprived of liberty outside a restaurant in Guadalajara

The man who was deprived of liberty outside a restaurant in the Prados Providencia neighborhood in Guadalajara, on the afternoon of Saturday, May 18, is an American, confirmed the Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office.

During a press conference, Attorney General Luis Joaquín Méndez Ruiz pointed out that the subject allegedly had some arrest warrants for narcotics in the United States and Germany.

“One of the names provided, gives us preliminary arrests abroad for drug and drug trafficking issues,” said the prosecutor.

It should be noted that Méndez Ruiz assured that the man’s family has provided very little information about the subject.

However, the victim’s partner has provided two different names, he is 36 years old, he is an American national and works in real estate. The prosecutor emphasized that the man’s partner is only going to give this information.

The Prosecutor’s Office also played the security video that captured the deprivation of liberty, in which at least five armed men participated.

It should be noted that there is no complaint of disappearance or kidnapping filed by the man’s family, although there is an investigation due to the duty to prosecute the crimes.
