Mazatlán, Sin. – An intense cultural activity will take place in Mazatlán from May 22 to 24, with two cultural points in the port as headquarters, the Angela Peralta Theater and the Casa Hass.

Held within the framework of the Spring 2024 season, we begin with the exhibition of the life of Manuel Cazares, who will be the protagonist of the Dialogues of Our History program.

This program will take place this Wednesday, May 22 at the Carnival Corridor, at 5:00 p.m., where the life of the maestro, his career and the awards he has won such as the Grammy and Grammy will be announced. Latin.

For movie buffs, this Thursday, May 23, the Angela Peralta Theater will host the presentation of the documentary “El Clavadista”, directed by Fernando Alarriba and Daniel Reyes, produced through Nextia Platform.

It is a cinematographic work that highlights the cultural value of one of the port’s main tourist attractions and is a tradition that has been part of the cultural heritage of Mazatlán for more than seven decades. The spectacle of the diver has been maintained thanks to the courage of a group of men who make a living defying death.

The presentation will be this Thursday, May 23 at 7:00 p.m., tickets are free and are available at the theater box office.

Also at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, the exhibition “Tribute to the Sinaloan countryside” arrives at the Rubio Gallery of the Angela Peralta theater, with works by the Cuenco de las Artes Collective, inspired by the Sinaloan countryside, life, people and fruits that this noble work provides.

Directed by the teacher Rafael Ávila Tirado and coordinated by Nena Cárdenas Liñán, more than 20 works will be exhibited where the artists will participate with engraving, installation, acrylic and mostly oil. Admission to this exhibition will be free and will end on June 14.

And to close with a flourish, this Wednesday, May 22 and Friday, May 24, a musical written and directed by tenor Eduardo Tapia arrives at Casa Haas. In one work, heartbreak is its central theme and its purpose is to sing with its protagonists to heal those wounds.

“We Have to Talk” puts Rocío, Gloria, Mary, Regina and Paulina on stage, who musicalize the disappointments in love according to ages or stages of life.

Themes by Rocío Dúrcal, Amanda Miguel, Alejandra Guzmán, Gloria Trevi, Ana Gabriel and Yuri will serve to demonstrate the vocal and acting performance of Daniela Cortés, Gabriela Gordián, Lucero Camacho, Rode Ríos, Martín Irigoyen and José Murillo.

This musical also aims to raise awareness about issues of bullying, emotional responsibility, tolerance, emotional intelligence and self-love.
