Both the Mummies Museum and the Hidalgo Market in Guanajuato will receive support after they approved resources for their remodeling

Guanajuato, Guanajuato.- Mummies will be intervened with 789 thousand pesos and there will be remodeling in the Hidalgo Market, according to the President of the Public Works Commission, who described the heritage works as necessary.
This Tuesday, the Municipal Public Works Commission, headed by Marco Antonio Campos Briones, met to approve extraordinary resources for the dignification of the Mummies Museum and its museography, with amounts that amount to approximately 789 thousand pesos, as well as more resources for communities and the Hidalgo Market.
In an interview, the president of the Public Works Commission, Marco Antonio Campos Briones, announced that the actions to improve the Mummies Museum aim to protect the heritage.
“It was determined that it was convenient to do these works for the museum and there was a resource available, we approved it in committee, now they will go up to the full council. The improvements have to do with the glass, lighting and increasing the improvements to the mummy museum, since it is very important,” said Campos Briones.
The aim is to provide budgetary sufficiency for the work called ‘Museography for the Mummies Museum’ for the year 2023, creations and budgetary sufficiency for works and actions within the S268 programs. Cultural Support Program/2024 and direct work for fiscal year 2024, with code and number DGOP/SDGOP/160524-006, for the amount of 789 thousand 279.09 pesos of municipal resource.

Also, the president of the commission announced that a resource for 3.5 million pesos has arrived from the state for the intervention of floors and metal structure in the Hidalgo Market. The municipality will invest 3 million 878 thousand 716.66 pesos.
“The state’s appeal is accepted since the treasury determined that the municipality also has the solvency to be able to complete the amount of the work,” the councilor said.
While, in the same commission, a point was included for tracking, refinement and compaction of rural roads in the municipality, for 3.5 million pesos, which will be used in the communities with the greatest need, Campos Briones revealed.
