According to the Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Combating Kidnapping and Extortion Crimes, the foreigners requested the digital transportation service of the Uber application and were intercepted by two taxis on Pino Street and Avenida Tulum.
Later they took the five men and two women to an area near López Portillo Avenue; After assaulting them, they left them in that place around 8:30 pm where they were rescued by elements of the Benito Juárez Secretariat of Citizen Security and Transit.
Due to these events, the Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Combating Kidnapping and Extortion Crimes opened the respective Investigation File for the probable commission of the crime of aggravated kidnapping against whoever is responsible.
