The road blockade was installed near prison number 5. The group of protesters indicate that they are protesting against the authorities of the municipality of Huixtan, because they have refused to build a bridge that connects the San José communities to the Nueva and San Pedro of this municipality, faced with the refusal of the authorities, decided to close this important road that connects the municipalities of San Cristóbal, Huixtán, Oxchuc and Ocosingo.
Meanwhile, motorists who circulate daily on this road took other alternate routes from San Cristóbal, Chanal, Altamirano and until they reached Ocosingo, and also took the road that connects Tenejapa, San Juan Cancúc, Guaquitepec and Ocosingo.

Motorists condemn this road closure, because it harms those who travel on this important road, while the road is completely closed and they demand that the authorities of the municipality, as well as the state, resolve this demand for the construction of the bridge, above all they ask Sorry to the motorists, but that is the only way for their demands to be heard.
