Mazatlán, Sin.- The tourism that visits Durango is mostly regional and for the next summer vacation period it is expected to reach one million visitors, announced the Secretary of Tourism of Durango, Elisa Haro Ruiz.
In a press conference, the official led the promotional campaign for the Francisco Villa Durango 2024 National Fair, which will be held from July 19 to August 4, where she highlighted that, to continue promoting tourism activity, new projects are already being developed for destiny.
She mentioned that 85 percent of visitors who visit Durango arrive by road, so special attention is paid to the physical condition of both highways and free roads.
“You know there was a time when a year ago the highway, especially the issue of bridges and tunnels, was unlit; A strong effort was made by businessmen, by the governor himself, before Capufe, to request this maintenance, because in reality what we want is for that road to be very safe and from that point on, maintenance is being carried out constantly.”
The Secretary of Tourism of Durango said that promotion efforts are currently being focused on natural markets in Sinaloa, Coahuila, Chihuahua, Nuevo León, to motivate the flow of visitors to Fenadu, but also to the capital city and the Pueblo Mágico. of Mapimí and the tourist communities that exist in the entity.
Elisa Haro added that, for this, tourist tours will be promoted to different towns that have a lot of history, this for a modest amount, since the purpose is to show important places through guided tours.
