Sinaloa. The state of Sinaloa is facing the third wave of extreme heat with temperatures in the shade reaching highs of between 42 and 44 degrees Celsius between 12:00 and 3:00 in the afternoon, explained the doctor in applied geophysics Juan Espinosa Luna.
The expert pointed out that the UV index is extreme and the probability of rain is practically zero for these days, so he called on the population to take preventive measures and protect themselves from the heat.
“Yes, it is really very strong and it does not look like it will go down a little more, but well, according to all the numerical models. All the models tell us that this year it will be at least 1 or 2 degrees higher than in past years,” said the expert.
Espinosa Luna said that numerical models for June and July indicate less rain compared to last year, which underlines the need to conserve water everywhere.
