The tours are designed in line with the curriculum of the Ministry of Public Education and Culture from kindergarten to university

Mazatlán, Sin.- Beyond the simple observation of ecosystems, Gran Acuario Mazatlán Mar de Cortés implements a series of programs aimed at students, from preschool to high school, that introduce them to scientific and environmental topics, where they start as explorers to become guardians of the ocean and then become responsible explorers.
This was reported by Andrea Toledo, Education Coordinator of this recreational center, who highlighted that, through tours with integrated learning, children and adults learn theoretically and practically about science and the environment.
She stressed that they seek to set a benchmark and for this, expert personnel lead the guided tours, attending the programs that were designed and aligned with the curriculum of the Secretariat of Public Education and Culture (Sepyc), for school groups from kindergarten to university.
“Gran Acuario Mazatlán Mar de Cortés offers an experience specifically designed for preschool schools and up to university. This experience is aligned with the curriculum of the SEP, where the facility is part of the community. The programs introduce students to scientific and environmental topics related to the ocean ecosystem and the programs are taught interactively through active methodologies.”
