This request, addressed to Mayor Édgar González Zataráin, was due to the municipal official issuing comments in which she denied the existence of LGBT+ identities, arguing that genetically only men and women exist.

The director of Immujer referred to sexual and gender identities that do not correspond to men or women as a pathology.
“It is clear that Dr. Choreño is not qualified to lead such an important direction, which is why we request her immediate dismissal. Let us not forget that Mexico is the second country with the highest number of hate crimes in Latin America; of these crimes, half of them have occurred against trans people.
