Los Cabos, Baja California Sur.- How many times have you not gone to a gas station to fill the gas tank of your vehicle and you realize that they did not throw you complete liters? The Federal Consumer Prosecutor’s Office (Profeco) reported in its recent report “Who is who in the price of fuels” and Baja California Sur was exhibited.
David Aguilar Romero, Federal Procurator of Profeco announced that in Baja California Sur they are not providing complete fuel liters in at least two gasoline stations.
Aguilar Romero indicated that this situation was detected in the establishments called “Self -Service Palmira” and in “Southern Fuels”; both in the municipality of Los Cabos. The first is located at kilometer 119 of the road to Todos Santos, in the Los Cangrejos neighborhood.
While the second station is located in front of the Municipal Plaza de Santiago, also in the Cabeño municipality. In the first case, it was indicated for having a missing 139.19 milliliters per liter dispatched, while the second gas station mentioned presented a missing 130.62 milliliters per liter.
On the other hand, the Profeco revealed that between May 13 and 19, 2024 he attended 206 complaints and made 304 gasoline verification visits throughout the country. Of these visits, five gas stations presented irregularities in the delivery of fuel, resulting in the immobilization of seven bombs.
In addition to Baja California Sur, irregularities were found in the State of Mexico and Nuevo León, with one and two cases respectively. David Aguilar Romero stressed that, despite these problems, regular and premium gasoline prices, as well as diesel, have remained stable in recent weeks.
“Prices maintain stable behaviors, as can be compared for three weeks, with very sensitive casualties in cents, but after all, which indicates stability in this market.”
How much does gasoline cost in Baja California Sur?
As of May 23, the average price of regular gasoline was 23.49 pesos per liter, that of premium gasoline of 25.22 pesos per liter and that of the diesel of 25.02 pesos per liter, according to the data provided by the owner of the Profeco.
