More than 115 young people and children, American football lovers, lived an unforgettable morning and for one day, felt closer to the NFL, thanks to the clinic given by the San Francisco 49ers, in the presence of the Gambusina legend, Patrick Willis.

In the experience “A day with the 49ers”, which was born thanks to the investment of 700 thousand dollars for three years for the relationship between one of the most successful franchises of the NFL and one of the most important tourist destinations of the continent, members of the American football league of Baja California Sur, through a call from the Sports Institute of the Municipality of Los Cabos, performed different exercises to test their endurance, speed, tackling and catching pass skills with the purpose of promoting the development of the sport and the sense of community in the region.

Willis, a member of the NFL Hall of Fame class of 2024 and former 49ers linebacker, was joined by Diana Flores, the captain and world champion with the Mexican women’s flag football team.

“The kids go out to play, have fun and are open to learning. The 49ers and California love Mexico,” Willis told the media.

Likewise, Rodrigo Esponda, general director of the Los Cabos Tourism Trust, stressed that “we are committed to ensuring that our initiatives benefit the local community, which relies heavily on tourism. This clinic is an example of how our efforts can offer unique and beneficial opportunities to the residents of this beautiful place.”
