Governor Esteban Villegas assured, pointing out that next week there will be various meetings with shipping companies

“Durango is becoming a very important state in the northern economic corridor,” said the governor of the state, Esteban Villegas Villarreal, who pointed out that everything that comes from Asia will begin to come down through the port of Mazatlán, hence the fact that next week there will be various meetings with shipping companies, since it is one of the conditions that Chinese companies have.
Despite this, the port of Mazatlán is barely working at seven percent of its capacity, so Durango is at a key moment derived from the investments that are already beginning to arrive and others that are already “tied up.”
“Durango is important,” said Villegas Villarreal, arguing that one of the most important projects planned for the next six years is precisely the construction of the Durango-Mazatlán railroad, the completion of the Durango-Parral highway, as well as the El Tunal 2 dam.
He is confident that Durango will do well in the next six years, because his intention is not to depend on what the federal government creates and when the baton is handed over, the state will no longer depend on a government administration that, when it has losses, permeates the population, since dependence is high.
However, for this to happen, more companies must come to generate well-paid jobs, since that will give the population another type of life and economic freedom with which the state will have better opportunities for growth.
