As it is a custom prior to the different holiday seasons in our destination, COFEPRIS performs the analysis to verify if the marine waters of Ixtapa Zihuatanejo are suitable for recreational use, the commission of drinking water and sewerage of Zihuatanejo (capable), on instructions from the instructions of the President Jorge Sánchez Alec has arranged for the agency to routinely perform the water sampling of the different beaches, to analyze them in their own laboratory, in order to establish a comparison with the one carried out by the Cofepris.
On May 31, samples was carried out by the capable personnel and after the analysis it was determined that the waters of the different beaches of the bay are in optimal conditions for recreational use and can enjoy both tourists and local.
The result of this last analysis indicates that the waters analyzed are below the minimum of enterococci allowed by the standard indicated by the Cofepris Water Monitoring Manual and the Secretary of Health.
