Conagua predicted the formation of the hurricane since last month in the country

Hurricane Alberto is one of the first meteorological phenomena to be forecast in the Atlantic Ocean, during the hurricane season that runs from June 1 to November 30 of this year.

In this regard, the National Water Commission (Conagua), through the National Meteorological Service (SMN), announced that it will maintain special surveillance in a low pressure zone that is registered in the Atlantic.

Since mid-May, Conagua stated that it is monitoring a low pressure zone with the possibility of cyclonic development in the Atlantic Ocean and the probability of becoming a hurricane.

The meteorological service predicts that with the formation of the phenomenon there will be intense rains and strong gusts of wind, for which reason it issued a warning for some entities in the country.

Conagua reported that a dry line will prevail over Coahuila, interacting with the subtropical jet stream, the entry of humidity from the Gulf of Mexico and divergence at height, causing strong to very strong winds with dust storms in the northwest, north and northeast of the country.

Electrical discharges and possible hail are also expected with the possible formation of whirlwinds and tornadoes in entities such as: Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas during Wednesday.

Meanwhile, between Thursday 6th and Friday 7th, tropical wave No. 2 will move slowly over the southeast of the national territory and will extend over the coasts of the South Pacific, which will cause heavy rainfall in the Yucatan Peninsula, as well as intense rains to torrential points in areas of Oaxaca, Chiapas, Tabasco and Campeche.

While on Saturday 8th, intense rains are expected in several entities such as: Oaxaca, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatan, Veracruz and Quintana Roo.
