Logistics experts are seeking to use a new ship, the Xin Dalian, to reduce delivery times for supplies and merchandise between China and Mexico, mainly for the ports of Ensenada, Manzanillo and Lázaro Cárdenas.
The ship will provide a fast transit time between China and the ports of Ensenada, Manzanillo and Lázaro Cárdenas, reflecting the fact that Mexico is a key market, said Fu Hua, general manager of Cosco Shipping Mexico, owner of the ship.
The executive pointed out that in recent years, imports to Mexico have experienced a considerable increase, with arrival times varying between 24 and 28 days from China to the ports of Ensenada, Manzanillo and Lázaro Cárdenas.
This last port stands out for its capacity, which was selected by the demanding automotive industry of Asian origin as the main entry point to Mexico.
The purpose is to continue with the optimization of this shipping route, which connects for the first time the port of Dalian, China, directly with the Mexican market.
