Querétaro requires water and energy; Kuri

He pointed out that at the national level, they should take as an example Querétaro, Guanajuato and Aguascalientes that resisted the “tsunami” that occurred in the country

High-speed train, water and electricity will be the demands of the state of Querétaro to the virtual president of the Republic Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, said Mauricio Kuri González, governor of Querétaro, who reiterated that there will be agreements with those who will make up the LXI Legislature of the state.

Kuri González recalled that with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and with the virtual president it has been agreed to support the construction of the Mexico-Querétaro train, this because it will contribute to the connectivity of the state and would reduce the vehicular load on highway 57.

“President López Obrador talked about it, when I had the opportunity to talk with the now president we also talked about it and we have all the will to support them. In whatever is necessary that we can help, they can count on us,” he said.

He pointed out that he has not had a dialogue with Claudia Sheinbaum, although he trusted that it will happen in the next few days; He referred to the issue of energy as the responsibility of the federation, although the citizens demand it from the state, which is why it will be one of Querétaro’s main demands to the new federal government.

He also highlighted that during the meeting he had with the Secretary of Finance Rogelio Ramírez de la O, the issues of water and energy were discussed, in addition to providing legal certainty to the state.

Regarding elections, he indicated that there must be a strong “schism” in the National Action Party (PAN) in light of the electoral results of June 2 and stressed that, given the majority that the opposition will have in the local Congress, political agreements will be reached.

Kuri González stressed that, at the national level, they should take as an example states such as Querétaro, Guanajuato and Aguascalientes that resisted the “tsunami” that occurred in the country.

“I believe that there has to be a strong schism in the National Action Party at the national level, I believe that the results sent us a signal at the national level, although in Querétaro we were able to withstand the tsunami that was not foreseen, which was greater than in 2018, but I believe that it is important that examples such as Aguascalientes, Querétaro, Guanajuato can be carried out, where things can be done well with a united party,” he said.

He pointed out that the victory in the federal deputies, the Senate of the Republic and City Halls is a message that in Querétaro people want to live in peace, tranquility and with legal certainty.

Questioned about whether it is urgent for Marko Cortés to leave the national leadership of the PAN, the governor indicated that he must already leave the party by statute and mentioned that next week he will meet with the PAN governors, and Jorge Romero, coordinator of the group of deputies, to discuss the situation.

“I am used to making agreements, I am a person of agreements, and it is clear to me that at this moment the opposition will have a majority in Congress, we have to work with that, but also remember that the federal deputies, the Senate, the municipal presidencies were won, and many of those local deputies had they gone together with parties like the PRI, etc., they would have won,” he emphasized.
