The federal government almost quadrupled the tax incentive for regular gasoline or Magna, in addition to replacing it in the case of diesel

The federal government almost quadrupled the tax incentive for regular gasoline or Magna, in addition to replacing it in the case of diesel, after not having provided any support for this fuel for a month.

For the week of June 22 to 28, the tax incentive for Magna gasoline will be 36.21 cents per liter, an increase of 272% compared to last week’s support of 9.73 cents.

With this, the Special Tax on Production and Services (IEPS) rate that taxpayers must pay will be 5.81 pesos per liter, from the 6.08 pesos they paid last week.

In the case of diesel, the tax incentive for this week will be 42.36 cents per liter, meaning motorists will have to pay an IEPS fee of 6.36 pesos for the same unit.

While in the case of premium or red gasoline, the government again left it without tax incentives, as it has done since the end of 2023. With this, consumers of this fuel will have to pay the full IEPS fee, which is 5.21 pesos.
