Denuncia Coesvi ola de fraudes en venta de casas

The State Housing Commission (Coesvi) of the State Government issued an alert to the public regarding fraud in the sale of homes in Juarez.

The head of the agency, Oscar Lozoya, highlighted the concern over the reported cases of scams, in which individuals offer properties at considerably low prices through social networks and phone calls, only to disappear after receiving deposits of up to 100 thousand pesos.
“We want to make a careful call to the citizens of Juarez not to be fooled,” said the official, who stressed the importance of verifying the legality of any real estate transaction before making payments.
According to Lozoya, Coesvi carries out all sales procedures directly, and recommended that potential buyers go personally to the offices of the State Housing Commission or the Public Property Registry to verify the authenticity of the offers.

He revealed that during the last week they have received eight messages on social networks and 15 calls denouncing these fraudulent practices.
Faced with this situation, Lozoya announced legal measures, including collaboration with the State Attorney General’s Office to investigate and prosecute those responsible.

The commissioner also highlighted the importance of the Coesvi’s deed-writing program, which offers owners legal certainty of their homes for a cost of three thousand 30 pesos.
This program seeks to protect the more than five thousand families who have already acquired properties through the commission, ensuring that once deeded, the homes will be legally protected against possible scams.
The subdivisions where Coesvi built homes are El Mezquital 1 and 2; Morelos 1, 2 and 3; Praderas del Sauzal 1 and 2; Terrenos Nacionales, Vista Los Ojitos, Dunas, Sicomoro del Norte, Águilas de Zaragoza, Héroes de México and Patria.
The state official called on citizens not to make deposits or payments without verifying the legality of the transactions, urging them to use the resources provided by Coesvi and other competent institutions to avoid becoming victims of these crimes.

“This is an urgent reminder of the need for caution and diligence when purchasing a home, especially in a context where real estate scams are increasingly frequent,” said Lozoya.
