Jocotepec will host “Sabor a Jalisco 2024, Encuentros de Cocina Tradicional” (Sabor a Jalisco 2024, Traditional Cooking Meetings), a program promoted by the Ministry of Culture whose purpose is to showcase the cultural and gastronomic diversity of the state.

It will take place on Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30, starting at 1:00 p.m. on the boardwalk, with Lake Chapala as a witness. Admission will be free.

Traditional cooks share their practices and processes that they have acquired from their ancestors, by displaying their traditional dishes in a public space.

The food is prepared on the spot with stoves using firewood and ingredients from their communities to prepare dishes representative of Jalisco.

During “Sabor a Jalisco 2024, Encuentros de Cocina Tradicional” people who attend will also be able to enjoy other cultural events. In this case, on Saturday 29th, there will be the folkloric ballet “Fandango jalisciense”, the trio “Los Amigos” and “Los Bandoleros”.
