Loreto, Baja California Sur.- Next week, the elected president of Loreto, Paz del Alma Ochoa, will present the transition team that will begin the activities related to the handover of the municipal administration.
The local deputy who won the election for mayor of Loreto said that a week ago she met with Mayor Paola Cota Davis to talk about the handover process that will culminate with the inauguration of the tenth administration, next September.
She mentioned that one of the objectives of the new municipal government will be to give continuity to what is really bearing fruit in favor of the people of Loreto, reinforce those programs, and generate others aimed at the development of the municipality.
“At the end of the day, all these programs are developed with resources from the people, so we cannot throw away those works, but on the contrary, it is to reinforce them and the premise is that it is always in favor of the people of Loreto,” she said.
Regarding the structure of the next administration, she said that work is being done on reorganizing and designing an organizational chart that meets the expectations, needs and problems that exist in the municipality of Loreto.
She pointed out that the key points of her government will be those established in Article 115 of the Constitution as the obligation of the Municipal Executive in the areas of security, public services and drinking water.
“We need to look for alternatives to cover the serious problems that exist in terms of drinking water, housing, health and others,” she added.
She pointed out that a lot of attention will also be paid to purely tourist services, since they represent around 90% of the economy of Loreto.
Paz del Alma Ochoa, as a local deputy, finally highlighted the work of the current legislature, in which she participated in highly relevant commissions such as Constitutional Issues and Justice and Education.
