June 2024 ended in Acapulco with 77 murders, 64 men and 13 women, surpassing by one more person murdered than the month of May, which recorded 76 deaths, 11 women and the rest men.
This figure for the month has tripled compared to June 2023, a month in which only 23 crimes were recorded.
So far this year, during six months, 337 homicides have been recorded and last year, during this same period, 260 were recorded.
In June, of the people murdered, 6 were taxi drivers, 10 were found in human remains, some in black bags, lined up and scattered on the street, others were shot and killed with a tourniquet on the neck.

It is worth mentioning that in the month of January, 26 people were murdered, mostly by gunfire, among which 3 were women and 4 taxi drivers. In February, 49 murders were recorded, of which 6 were women and 1 was a transport driver.
The month of March has been the most violent month against women, with 14 deaths, and during the month a total of 47 fatalities. In April, 61 people were murdered, of which 4 were women; And in May 76 people were murdered, being the second most violent month of 2024.
Within the May total, 11 were women, 3 found dead by a tourniquet on the neck, 2 with their throats cut, 2 abandoned in human remains and 4 by gunshots. Of the 65 men murdered, 14 were found in human remains.
