‘Raicilla’, música con raíces multiculturales que la cantante Andrea Bayardo presentará en Guadalajara

The singer-songwriter from Guadalajara based in Spain, Andrea Bayardo, is about to perform in Guadalajara on August 8. After having had a first meeting with the Mexican public in the capital of the country, she is already preparing to take the stage at the C3 Stage Forum and show the new music from her album “Raicilla”.

‘Raicilla’, music with multicultural roots that the singer Andrea Bayardo will present in Guadalajara

This new material, of which Bayardo has only released 5 pieces on her digital platforms, is a fusion of styles from Latin American folklore (as a way of reconnecting with her roots) with rhythms that surround her, such as flamenco.

This is what she said about it.

“Raicilla is a work that talks about migration, starting with the fact that the title track of the album has to do with that, which clearly shows how important it has been for me to be outside my country and everything that has nourished me and made me value (…)

I have lived in Spain for eight years, and the producer and musical director of my project is Argentine, so you mix all my love for folklore and knowledge of ranchera, sones, huapangos.

With all the producer’s knowledge of tango chacarera and malambo, plus what the folklore of the place where we live, copla, flamenco, imparts to us.”

The 5 singles already published from the new album are ‘Raicilla’, ‘Lo que no tengo’, ‘Que te vaya bien’, ‘Lo fácil’ and ‘Malo’. The rest of the singles that will complement the album will be released at the end of August, and for now, at his concert in Guadalajara he will present the complete material.

Another point that Andrea Bayardo highlighted was the implementation of contemporary sounds to a material that, although it is folkloric and can feel somewhat timeless for new audiences, the new elements seek to adapt to their tastes.

“What we have played with in the productions is using real acoustic instruments combined with electronic production, bits, pads, synths.

For example, in Raicilla, it is an absolutely acoustic nylon guitar recorded live, but mixed with a lot of electronic atmospheres, with some percussion and electronics, but then a real piano comes in that gives it some bluesy elements.”

Andrea Bayardo’s presentation in Guadalajara, on August 8, will start at 7:00 p.m. You can find tickets on the Ticketnow platform.
