Polish woman reveals famous phrase said in her country about Mexico: “All Poles say it”

A young woman of Polish origin shared one of the supposedly famous phrases that in her country they would use in specific contexts and that refers to Mexico. In said material the woman also expressed her surprise because she recently discovered that it is common for her fellow countrymen to use it at various times.

At the beginning of the video, the Polish woman named Laila commented that it is common for her fellow countrymen to talk about Mexicans, since they have a phrase that they use in contexts in which they want to express that something is in disarray.

“Poles talk about Mexicans. There is a special phrase about Mexicans that Poles use,” she commented.

In addition, the woman assured that this phrase is used indirectly to talk about Mexicans, since it actually refers to the country as such.

“In other words, not directly about Mexicans, but about the country Mexico,” she assured.

Thus, Poles would use a phrase that refers to Mexicans to talk about things that are in disarray. In the shared material, Laila commented that her family does not usually use it, but that she has been able to hear it with her neighbors and friends from Poland.

“When there is a situation of pure chaos you say what Mexico, güxy, that is, Ale Meksyk,” she said.

This phrase would only be used when Poles want to refer to things that are disordered or in disarray: “Whenever a Pole wants to say what a mess, what a mess, they say ‘What Mexico’, that is, in Polish ‘Ale Meksyk’.”

In this regard, the young Polish woman commented that she finds it a rather funny phrase, since not hearing it with her relatives she found it funny to learn about it through other compatriots.

The woman assured that the phrase is used due to the characteristics attributed to both Mexico and the situations in which it is used.
For their part, the users of the social network did not hesitate to share their comments regarding the famous phrase that Poles would use related to Mexico.

“Well, we are even now, here we say ‘wrap up well because it will give you a Polish air’”; “And there they also feel a Polish air?”; “It is the revenge of the Poles because we say that it will give us a similar air”; “I don’t know whether to feel flattered or offended”; “I will take it, but it offends me a lot”; “It sounds like the phrase is well implemented”; “Blessing or curse?”, among other opinions.

In another of her videos, Laila commented that she does not find it fun to speak Spanish, this because the woman lived for a time in Mexico. In light of this, she assured that on the occasions when her family visited her it was quite uncomfortable to translate the lyrics of several songs, because there were some that “got her off guard”.

“Sometimes it is not so cool to speak Spanish. First, if you have a family that does not speak Spanish, as long as there is a song that they like, they will ask you: hey, but what are you singing? And if you have a song like ‘Give me more gasoline,’ explain to your mom or dad what you’re singing.”

In addition, the young woman assured that before she understood the lyrics of a song she liked in the past, she thought it was very good, but with the passage of time and understanding each word perfectly, she stopped liking many of them.

“I mean, I liked how they sound, but then I realized that sometimes they are saying stupid things, that I really can’t sing them. It’s that we Europeans think that you Latinos are always singing romantic songs, about love, but sometimes your songs are really hot,” said the Polish woman.

Due to the above, she assured that for her to speak Spanish has sometimes been very difficult, so she considers that it is not always comfortable to explain the lyrics or words to her fellow countrymen. However, she also commented that understanding this language and speaking it makes her very happy and she loves it.
