Swiss woman in Mexico is shocked after seeing a tree that doesn’t exist in her country

Mexico is a country that has everything: enviable gastronomy, culture, history and beautiful landscapes. Foreigners who visit us are clear about this, as is the case of a young Swiss woman who has been living in the capital for some time.

The young woman was interviewed by the TikTok account “Extranjeros x el mundo” and said that what impressed her most about Mexico when she arrived was the nature that is present even in the cities.

“Something I would like to say about Mexico is that when you walk down the street there is the noise of nature, the little birds are everywhere. It is always with flowers, with colors. The bougainvilleas that make clouds of colors,” she said.

Similarly, she expressed the emotion that caused her to see a jacaranda, a tree native to Latin America: “The jacarandas. I arrived in April. I had never seen a purple tree, a tree of that size.”

And she added: “What I really like is that being in such a big city there is so much nature, and that is very beautiful. In a city you don’t normally hear so many birds, I wasn’t used to that, and there are so many flowers and trees.”

Finally, she shared what Mexico has given her during the time she has been in the country: “Mexico has given me more patience, more open-mindedness, more gray hair. It has made me value the simplest things. When I have something I give it much more value, without being materialistic, like having time, an idea. There everything is more mechanical, I had to make money because life is more expensive. I have become much more creative.”
