By Thursday, tropical storm Fabio will merge with tropical storm Emilia, generating a Fujiwara effect and giving rise to a single tropical cyclone west-southwest of the Baja California Sur coast. This system will move west-northwest, gradually moving away from Mexico. Likewise, the Mexican monsoon in combination with divergence at altitude will generate thunderstorms, strong gusts of wind and the probability of hail in northwest Mexico.

Likewise, a trough extending over the north and center of the national territory, in combination with divergence at altitude and the entry of humidity from the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, will cause thunderstorms and possible hail in areas of the north, northeast, east, center, south and west of the country.

On the other hand, a trough (Maya trough) that will extend across the southeast of the country and the Yucatan Peninsula, combined with the entry of moisture from the Pacific Ocean, the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea, will cause scattered storms in these regions.

Due to the above, very heavy rains (50 to 75 mm) are forecast in Sonora, Chihuahua, Durango, Sinaloa, Jalisco, Michoacán, Guerrero, Oaxaca and Chiapas, heavy rains (25 to 50 mm) in Nayarit, Colima, Morelos, Mexico City, State of Mexico, Tlaxcala, Puebla, Campeche, Yucatán and Quintana Roo, moderate rains (5 to 25 mm) in Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas, Guanajuato, Querétaro, Hidalgo, Veracruz and Tabasco, and light rains (less than 5 mm) in Baja California, Baja California Sur, Coahuila, Nuevo León and Aguascalientes.
