A group of foreign tourists suffered a spectacular accident on the access avenue to Puerto Vallarta, crashing into a traffic light and overturning on the road.
The incident occurred this Monday under the bridge known as “de los milagros” (Miracles Bridge), in the Guadalupe Victoria neighborhood, on the Francisco Medina Ascencio entrance avenue.
There, a silver Mitsubishi pickup truck, with Yucatan state license plates, was apparently traveling at excessive speed, so that, at a certain moment, the driver of the unit lost control and rushed into the traffic light that is between the central lanes and the east side of the road, crashing head-on and subsequently overturning, ending up in the central lanes.
Paramedics from the Municipal Civil Protection and Fire Department immediately arrived at the scene and treated the injured. They were treated on the spot and fortunately did not suffer any serious injuries that required hospitalization, as they were wearing their seat belts.
