The business and influence-peddling network of former President López Obrador’s sons has operated in tandem with the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
New audio recordings obtained by Latinus reveal that Amílcar Olán—a close friend and key operative for Andy and Bobby López Beltrán—instructed his brother, Luis Alberto, to partner with a CJNG cell involved in extortion and fuel theft. This cell is linked to the “La Barredora” criminal group, led by Hernán Bermúdez Requena, who served as Secretary of Public Security under Adán Augusto López in Tabasco.
In the recordings, Amílcar Olán boasts of his close ties to these criminals and describes how they facilitated the unhindered operation of “The Clan’s” businesses in Veracruz.
