Durango is second in the country in industrial activity

Industrial activity in Durango is experiencing notable growth, a direct result of the efforts of Governor Esteban Villegas, where in the last four weeks, a sustained increase in industrial activity has been observed in both the primary and secondary sectors, said Fernando Rosas Palafox, Secretary of Economic Development in the state.

“The governor has implemented key strategies to promote industrial development, and the results are visible. Local industries are preparing to face and take advantage of the economic opportunities offered by the state, and companies continue to arrive in the region, which contributes to the strengthening of the Durango economy,” this while mentioning that the sector with the greatest growth has been construction, which has registered an increase of 80 percent.

This boom is due to the activation of various economic areas throughout the state, not only in the capital, but also in other municipalities.

This growth highlights the effectiveness of the implemented policies and the continued commitment to boost the local economy, by creating a favorable environment for industrial development and investment.

Durango maintains positive indicators
It should be noted that for the fourth consecutive week, the Durango state maintains positive indicators at the national level, since according to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), it is in second place in growth of industrial activity, compared to the same period last year.

According to information published by INEGI, in the construction sector, industrial activity in Durango grew by more than 80 percent, placing it very close to Quintana Roo, which occupies the first position.

Of the 32 states in the country, Durango stands out among those that have shown the greatest increases in their industrial production during the past month of April, registering 16.3 percent.
