Crane drivers clash with members of the National Guard

Due to this situation, the operators, also known as Gruyeros, confronted the uniformed officers using high-tonnage cranes to block the central lanes and stop the flow of vehicles.

The situation intensified with the arrival of more National Guard agents, which led to a confrontation where firearms were visible.

National Guard members reportedly fired into the air
Witnesses reported that federal agents fired both at the tires of the cranes and into the air to disperse the protesters. In addition, a National Guard helicopter was observed flying over the area during the conflict.

After a moment of tension, the crane operators decided to withdraw voluntarily, which allowed the road to be cleared and traffic on the highway to return to normal.
