On the morning of August 14, the traditional Wednesday morning conference was held in the municipality of Playas de Rosarito, where the Governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar, addressed tourism issues together with the Secretary of Tourism of Mexico, Miguel Torruco Marqués, and the Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Aguíñiga Rodríguez.
During the conference, it was announced that the Baja California Center will be the venue for the 49th edition of the Tianguis Turístico México 2025. It is important to note that the decision to choose our state as the host of this tourism event was made unanimously in an open vote, after a call made on September 29, 2023, in which private sector tourism organizations participated to determine the ideal location for this great event.
What is the purpose of the Tianguis Turístico 2025?
This meeting will seek to promote tourism that respects and values the cultural wealth of the state, which will translate into a source of well-being for all. For his part, Miguel Torruco pointed out that the great message that is intended to be conveyed during the 49th edition is to demonstrate that tourism in Baja California is not limited to the border, but rather encompasses everything from the gateway to the Sea of Cortez to the great vineyards, which produce more than 70% of Mexican wine, as well as the revolutionary Baja Californian gastronomy.
The Tianguis Turístico 2025 will take place from April 28 to May 1, 2025 and for more information you can visit the official website.
According to Miguel Aguíñiga, Secretary of Tourism of Baja California, he indicated the following:
In 2021, when Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda entrusted me with the responsibility of leading the Secretary of Tourism of this state, the goal was clear, to establish Baja California as a competitive destination in the tourism field at an international level.
He also highlighted that since then one of the main objectives was to turn the state into the venue of the most important tourism event in Latin America, the Tianguis Turístico Binacional 2025.
