One of the municipalities of Baja California Sur with the most invasions is Los Cabos, where year after year this problem continues to grow; however, the Secretary General of Government, José Saúl González Núñez said that there will be zero tolerance on this issue.

González Núñez, led a work meeting with representatives of the Ejido Cabo San Lucas in that municipality, where he expressed that the law will be applied without exception, with total respect for the rule of law.

Accompanied by José Guadalupe Higuera, secretary of the Los Cabos city council and authorities from the three levels of government; González Núñez, assured that they are working in a coordinated manner to address, contain and sanction these acts, which mainly affect those who need housing, and acquire it through deception, illegally or in irregular areas, putting their lives at risk during the rainy season.

“From the State government, headed by Víctor Manuel Castro Cosío, we reiterate our commitment to families to guarantee their right to have a decent and safe property, so invasions will not be allowed, not only in this municipality, but throughout the state,” said the Secretary General of Government.

He added that as part of the actions implemented in this area, a rapid action protocol was established between the institutions, to be able to contain the acts that are reported and are known to the authority, to avoid the invasion of private property and maintain order and social peace.

Saúl González made a careful call to people not to be fooled by those who profit from a need such as having a place to live, so that they approach the government agencies in charge of providing this service, receive information and can acquire real estate in a legal and safe manner, without putting their family assets or their lives at risk.
