During his working tour in Texas, the governor of Coahuila, Manolo Jiménez Salinas, inaugurated the Pro Coahuila Office in the city of Austin, a strategic step to strengthen the economic and tourism relationship between the state and the United States. “We continue to capitalize on nearshoring to the maximum,” said Jiménez Salinas, highlighting that the new office will promote the attraction of investments and tourists to Coahuila.
The Pro Coahuila Office, directed by Gloria Gutiérrez from Coahuila, will have as its main mission the prospecting and monitoring of high-impact projects for the state, as well as the attraction of new investments and the support of those already existing in the state. In addition, it will operate as a key link for the management and promotion of economic and tourism in the neighboring country.
During the inauguration, the governor held a meeting with Glenn Hamer, president of the Texas Business Association, and a group of businessmen interested in the opportunities offered by Coahuila. At this meeting, the state’s competitive advantages were highlighted in the context of nearshoring, a trend that is reconfiguring supply chains globally.
The event was attended by prominent officials and businessmen, including Blas Flores, Chief of Staff and Strategic Projects; Luis Olivares, Secretary of Economy of Coahuila; Sofía Delgadillo, Director of Pro Coahuila; and David Zapata, Vice President of International Relations of the Texas Business Association.
With the opening of this office, Coahuila strengthens its presence in one of the most important markets in the world, seeking to consolidate its position as an attractive destination for investments.
