The State Government, through the Secretariat of Innovation and Economic Development (SIDE), inaugurated the first edition of the Binational Electronics Show 2024, an event that brings together leaders, manufacturers and companies in the electronic components sector from around the world.
The protocol ceremony was led by the head of SIDE, Ulises Fernández Gamboa, who highlighted that the state is the main exporter of electronics nationwide and the third place with the most investments in the sector.
The secretary indicated that, thanks to its proximity and its binational relationship, Chihuahua is positioned at the epicenter of the main technological and electronic investments that are taking place in the United States, specifically in the semiconductor and electromobility industry.
In addition, the official pointed out that the semiconductor industry is a key opportunity, and the entity has the necessary potential to develop the assembly, testing and packaging of these components.
For his part, the director of Binational Electronics Show, Jesús Carrillo, thanked the support and commitment of this administration for economic growth and technological innovation.
He also announced the work to consolidate the Chihuahua Electronic Cluster, which aims to help SMEs grow and generate business links and boost the development of the sector.
The president of Canacintra, Armando Gutiérrez, stated that the objective of the organization is to offer Chihuahua companies a support ecosystem through certifications, acceleration schemes in business models, specialization and innovation.
