The Governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García Sepúlveda, toured the land where the new Volvo plant will be installed, which will be located in the municipality of Ciénega de Flores and is expected to begin operations in 2026.

The state leader assured that this plant, which will consist of 127 hectares, contemplates an investment of 700 million dollars and will generate 2,500 jobs for the entity, in addition to being the largest Volvo plant in the world and will be built in record time.

“We are on the land that will be the largest Volvo factory in the world, which fills us with pride, that companies decide to come to Nuevo León not to build any factory, but to build the largest in the world and on this occasion it is here in Ciénaga de Flores,” he said.

During the tour, the Governor was accompanied by Emmanuel Loo, Undersecretary of Investment; and authorities of Grupo Garza Ponce, who will be in charge of the project.

“Grupo GP is the one who will be in charge of the entire project and today they welcome us to the State Government to learn about a project that will be executed in a turbo-fast manner,” said the Governor.

The Undersecretary of Investment added that Volvo will have 127 hectares that will include a Pocket Park and an area for suppliers, of which it is estimated that around 60 will come.
