Family disappears on the way to Zacatecas

A woman and her two minor children have been missing since Friday (last week), when they left their home in Ojuelos, Jalisco, heading to Zacatecas.
Her name is María del Consuelo Arenas Romo, she is 39 years old, and her children are Víctor Manuel, 14 years old, and Rafael Alexander, 5; the three were last seen in the center of Ojuelos.
According to information released by their family, the three were traveling in an old model pickup truck with license plates JEL-6531, heading to the town of Pino, Zacatecas, located about 50 minutes by car from Ojuelos.
Both towns are connected by a highway that crosses the borders of the states of Jalisco and Zacatecas, and passes near the limits with San Luis Potosí and Aguascalientes, this in the Altos Norte region of the state.
On Wednesday afternoon, the State Search Commission published the three files of the family, while the family is also spreading information in search of help so that people can provide information to find them.
«Today more than ever I ask for your support to be able to share this publication and thus have more diffusion, my cousin along with her two children are still missing, unfortunately we still have no trace of them,» commented a relative on her Facebook account.
Any information can be provided by calling the State Search Commission at 333-145-6314.
On the other hand, the relatives of the missing family accused that crime and clashes in that area are unleashed.
«All the people of Ojuelenses and the surrounding ranches know that there is a lot of crime, crime has broken out a lot, clashes between armed groups.
“This puts at risk, as in this case, the population, civilians, people who work every day, because that is the risk that we are seeing, that we are facing, insecurity and unfortunately, anyone here is at latent risk,” said Nohemí, María del Consuelo’s cousin.
