Francisco Javier Cabrera Sandoval, state leader of the Democratic Revolution Party (PRD), strongly criticized that within Morena they are applying what he called “right of blood” to grant a party position to the son of the President of the Republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

The local deputy pointed out that it would be regrettable if members of the left within Morena allow the appointment of positions by surname, instead of by their own merits.

“It would be a shame for those leftists who accept that positions are awarded based on prebends for the surname,” he stressed.

Cabrera Sandoval recalled that these “classist and racist” attitudes were fought in the PRD, and emphasized that this type of practice goes against the principles that many left-wing militants have defended.

It is worth mentioning that it has been speculated that Andrés López Beltrán, son of the president, could be appointed as general secretary of Morena at the national level.
