😔Why doesn’t the National Guard do anything about the thugs?

That is the question much of the population asks. But people rarely ask whether these matters are actually in the hands of the officers on the streets or whether, in reality, the decisions are made by someone higher up.

Unfortunately, a National Guard officer was deprived of his life in a cruel and cowardly manner. That young man, knowing what his fate might be, only moved his legs and hands nervously, but remained firm, trying to maintain control. It was a situation in which others cry, scream, and despair, while he, despite being so young, was simply trying to hold himself together.

His “crime”? Obeying superior orders and knowing what was happening behind the scenes.

That was the officer’s “crime.”

It breaks my soul to know how rotten this country is, how rotten some of its institutions are, and how those who wear the uniform with honor can end up facing such a fate.

I wish I could get used to it. I wish what happens in this country would stop hurting me so deeply. But I cannot.

I cannot be indifferent when I see a brave person fall, because it reminds me that there are still people who believe in what they do, people who continue to wear a uniform with honor and who, despite everything, still believe that serving is worthwhile.
