Santum Santuario de Girasoles Will Have Four Special Nights in September, with Nighttime Tours, Lighting, Live Music, Bonfires, and the Option to Camp
If you want to take advantage of the final days of sunflower season with a different kind of plan, in Tlaxcala there is a field preparing an experience to enjoy after sunset. It is Santum Santuario de Girasoles, located in San Francisco Atexcatzinco, where the flowers will be accompanied by special lighting on four dates in September.
The proposal combines a walk among the sunflowers with live music, photo opportunities, and a group bonfire. In addition, those who want to extend their visit can choose the camping option and spend the night at the same location.
When Are the Magical Nights at Santum?
The Magical Nights will take place on four dates in September:
- September 12
- September 13
- September 20
- September 27
The hours will be from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. During this period, visitors will be able to walk through the field after sunset and admire the sunflowers accompanied by artificial lighting.
The tour also includes live music and a group bonfire where the legend of the sunflower will be told. For those looking to take photographs, there will be different settings distributed throughout the field.
There is also the option of hiring professional photography sessions for an additional cost. Another alternative is to reserve admission with camping, which allows visitors to spend the night at the location and wake up among the sunflowers.
How Much Does It Cost to Enter Santum?
General presale admission costs $200 pesos per person, while admission that includes a camping space costs $350 pesos per person.
Photography sessions and other additional services are not included in these rates and have an extra cost.
Because capacity for the Magical Nights is limited, reservations are recommended in advance. To request information and make reservations, Santum indicates that it can be contacted through its social media accounts and WhatsApp.
Where Is Santum and How Do You Get There from Mexico City?
Santum is located in San Francisco Atexcatzinco, Tlaxcala, a community approximately two hours from Mexico City and about one hour from Puebla, making it suitable as a weekend getaway.
If traveling from Mexico City by car, one of the main routes is to take the Mexico-Puebla highway and then continue toward Tlaxcala. Travel time may vary depending on the departure point and traffic.
For the Magical Nights, it is recommended to wear comfortable, closed-toe footwear, as part of the tour takes place on dirt. It is also advisable to bring warm clothing, since temperatures drop at night, as well as a portable battery if you want to take photographs throughout the entire experience.
What Will Be at Santum After the Magical Nights?
If you do not manage to visit the field during September, Santum already has a different experience prepared for the fall season.
Pumpkin Santum will take place from October 3 to November 8, again in San Francisco Atexcatzinco, Tlaxcala. This proposal will be dedicated to pumpkin season, so the space will change its atmosphere once the sunflower experience ends.
Thus, Santum will have seasonal activities over the coming weeks, first with the Magical Nights and later with Pumpkin Santum.
