Families make the Sabinas Parade the best in Mexico

“Thousands of riders and families who enjoy the ride make the Gran Cabalgata de Sabinas the best in Mexico,” said Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas after participating as one of the nine thousand riders who shaped the 35th edition of this traditional ride in the municipality of Sabinas.

The Gran Cabalgata de Sabinas is a horseback ride that seeks to preserve one of the most deep-rooted traditions of the Carbonífera, which aims to strengthen the ties of friendship, unity and coexistence, as well as the history, culture and identity of the region.

Manolo Jiménez expressed his pleasure at living with riders from the Carbonífera Region, with riders from all over Coahuila, from other states of the country, as well as from the United States. In addition to feeling the affection of the thousands of families who in complete calm and tranquility, encouraged the participants.

“For us it is very important to continue strengthening this tradition and that it also serves as a driving force for economic growth; This type of activities benefits the region and together with this and other actions that we bring, we will strengthen the economy of the Carbonífera Region,” he mentioned.

PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS

The state leader commented that they will carry out many works, projects and programs for Sabinas, Nueva Rosita, and Múzquiz.

He added that being able to hold this type of event in which thousands of Coahuilans come together, gives life to the municipalities of the state and its regions.

“We are going to be promoting this type of flagship event for each region, and the Carbonífera event is the Great Sabinas Cavalcade,” he said.

He added that these large events promote ties of friendship and coexistence, and highlight one of the greatest northern traditions, such as horseback riding; Manolo Jiménez mentioned that our state is semi-desert so it is quite an adventure to cross its territories on horseback.

Likewise, Manolo Jiménez stressed that the security experienced in the state is one of the most important factors to be able to enjoy an event like this parade.

As is traditional, this Saturday the departure of the riders was at the San José ranch, at 9:00 a.m.

The Santo Domingo-Sabinas parade joins this celebration; and this year the Amigos parade also joined with riders from Múzquiz, Nueva Rosita, Juárez and other municipalities.

Cristina Amezcua, Secretary of Tourism; Diana Haro, Mayor of Sabinas; state and municipal officials; elected and acting mayors participated in this parade.
