Although she considers that it is not good news that Tesla has cancelled its investment in Nuevo León, Xóchitl Gálvez believes that the State can be one of those that rescues nearshoring.
The former presidential candidate for Fuerza y Corazón x México was one of the guests at the inauguration of Adrián de la Garza as municipal president of Monterrey.
“It is not good news that Tesla has cancelled, for the moment, its investment here in Nuevo León,” said Gálvez. “We would have to bring new investments, nearshoring is getting out of hand.”
She indicated, however, that not everything is lost in the entity.
“I think that Nuevo León can be one of those states that rescues a good part of those investments that are not reaching other parts of the country,” she said.
Gálvez pointed out that in the entity there are also many things to resolve.
“The big problems that Monterrey has… the water issue (in) short, because, although the dams are full, there is still a shortage in certain neighborhoods, everything has to do with the water distribution networks.”
She included the issue of transportation.
“The Metro lines seem to be behind schedule, we have to put the issue of public transportation as a priority… obviously jobs…”, she said.
We have to stop the polarization
Gálvez recommended to Governor Samuel García that the polarization in the State be stopped because it leads to nothing.
“I think we have to stop it; the citizens of Nuevo León do not deserve that their political class be confronted, that the problems be resolved.”
She is not unaware that the governor has been involved in triangulation issues, but she hopes that it is resolved.
“We have all seen the reports that have come out at a national level about these triangulations to this company,” recalled Gálvez. “This creates a problem, but let it be investigated. I believe that he (Garcia) has nothing to lose by clearing his name.
“If he says that he has nothing, that he fears nothing… let him allow these possible acts of corruption to be investigated, to be resolved and to start working on other issues,” she added.
Regarding her career, Gálvez indicated that she has already returned to the private sector to continue working as an engineer.
