What is known about the Colombian women who disappeared in Mexico
According to their relatives, the girls were contacted to work in a modeling agency.
Derlis Paneso, a native of Antioquia, left for Mexico on September 19. “She is a mother, she communicated daily with her child,” said her brother Duván to the local media Hora 13 Noticias.
However, the young woman’s attitude changed and even before losing communication with her loved ones, she revealed to her brother that she “could not talk much” or give them information.

A similar situation was reported by the family of Yarlin Giraldo Soto, who moved to Mexico more than four months ago, but disappeared in recent days. “(They told him) that he was going to have a stable job, a place to go, everything necessary,” commented his brother Haider to Noticias RCN.
Yarlin spoke to her sister Kelly for the last time to warn her of what was happening.
“She told us that they were kidnapped, that they were asking for a large sum of money for them,” said the relative in a conversation with Noticias Caracol.
The families fear that they are in the hands of criminal gangs, so they are waiting to see what the Mexican and Colombian authorities will do.
