The head of the Ministry of Tourism in Sinaloa highlighted that they have moved forward in providing security not only in Mazatlán but also in rural tours because they know that this type of tourism comes to give a great incentive to the stately and magical towns of the destination, such as Concordia, El Recodo, La Noria and El Quelite.
“We do want to send a clear message, that the rural tourist area of Mazatlán is, we have the confidence and the guarantee to be able to continue traveling without fear in the area that borders Mazatlán and we have not had any incident,” he said.

Velarde Cárdenas said that the visitors who have arrived aboard the tourist cruises have gone to the rural sites of northern Mazatlán, such as El Quelite and La Noria, in addition to visiting La Vinata de los Osuna and the stately towns of Concordia.
That is why, indicated the Secretary of Tourism, they are asking to double security in these areas to get ahead and that there is no event to regret, but on the contrary, to send a good message to this tourism, both maritime and international, which will already be arriving at the port to vacation by means of flights from the United States and Canada, from mid-October until May 2025.
Velarde Cárdenas stressed that they will continue working to provide confidence to national tourism that has been affected, especially in the matter of road tourism, so that the constant flow that there was on weekends returns.
