Parents Seek Answers After 4 Months of Silence from Son Who Went to Work in Mérida

The parents of Jorge Yam Miis are deeply worried because they have no information about his whereabouts.

Jorge Yam Miis, a young man from Kancabchen, went to work in Mérida 4 months ago and has not been in contact since. Concerned about his disappearance, his parents sought help from their relatives to share his case on social media.

According to Jorge’s parents, Mr. Victor García was the person who took him to work in Mérida. However, Mr. García, who is still in town, had not communicated anything to Jorge’s parents until the disappearance was made public.

When a police officer visited the distressed parents, Mr. García promised to take Jorge’s father, Mr. Lucio Yam, to Mérida to find his son. He claimed to have been in contact with Jorge but did not specify whether it was through messages or calls.

Jorge’s parents are extremely worried because it is unusual for him not to communicate with them for such a long period. They also find it suspicious that Mr. García, who took him to work, had not informed them about Jorge’s whereabouts until the police got involved.
