5 beheaded bodies were found on the route 80 in Ojuelos, Jalisco

The corpses were left abandoned in bags on the federal highway that goes from San Luis Potosí to San Juan de los Lagos

Criminals left the five bodies of men decapitated on a stretch of road in the municipality of Ojuelos, in the famous zone of death, which borders with the states of Aguascalientes, Zacatecas and San Luis Potosí.

The Attorney General confirmed the discovery when personnel from the National Guard received a report about the abandonment of bags with bodies on the federal highway route 80, which goes from San Luis Potosí to San Juan de los Lagos.

The federal agents arrived at kilometer 95 of that road in a place known as the crossroads of Pinos, near the border with Zacatecas.

“They were wrapped in black plastic bags, they wore pants, and another bag inside contained what appeared to be the heads of the victims whose ages have not been specified,” said the state Attorney General’s office.

Last Saturday that region suffered a series of narco-blockages.

Police sources pointed out that that area of Ojuelos is disputed by a branch of the Sinaloa Cartel known as MZ, affiliated with one of Mayo Zambada’s children, and a cell of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

This dispute adds to the one maintained between the CJNG and another cell of the Sinaloa Cartel, close to Chapo Guzmán’s sons, in Teocaltiche.

The bodies found yesterday are added to the four homicides registered in Encarnación de Díaz in two incidents on Tuesday and Friday, one of these crimes perpetrated just a few blocks from the Municipal Presidency.

In addition, on several stretches of a road that goes from Encarnación to San Juan de los Lagos, the criminals burned six vehicles last Saturday, this allegedly in reaction to an operation by the National Guard in that area, which led to the arrest of two people.

No authority had given official details about this capture until yesterday.

In the eight municipalities of Jalisco’s North Altos Region, there were 1,155 missing persons as of September 30, half the victims in Lagos de Moreno municipality, according to the State Registry.
