A total of 120 surgeries to sterilize dogs and cats will be offered for free this Sunday in Rosarito, thanks to the Baja California Spay Neuter Foundation.

Through their Facebook account, the association announced that the sterilization campaign will start at 9:00 AM at the Municipal Animal Control facilities located at 198 Jesús Leyva Torres Street in the Ampliación Benito Juárez neighborhood.

It is indicated that only a donation consisting of a sealed bag of puppy kibble of at least 2 kilograms per animal to be sterilized is requested, and no more than two animals per family living at the same address are allowed.

Recommendations

The recommendations for the surgery are to bring pets fasting for at least 8 hours, bathed, and free of fleas and ticks; in the case of females, they should have given birth at least 2 months ago, not be nursing, and puppies should be at least three months old.

It is also requested to bring dogs with a collar and leash and not weighing more than 25 kilos, while cats should be brought in cages or carriers.

Additionally, it is indicated that flat-faced dogs or cats or mixes of these types such as pugs, boxers, bull terriers, among others, are not accepted, but pit bulls are welcome.
