The Secretary of Public Security, Sergio Hernando Chávez García, reported that this Wednesday the Heroes Paisanos Program will be launched, which aims to inhibit criminal acts on the highways of Tamaulipas.
“As you know, the 25 safe stations will be there to support our fellow citizens. In addition, convoys are made; many times, authorities from other entities come and support us in transporting their fellow citizens, at least, to the limits of Nuevo León, Veracruz and San Luis Potosí, actions that we will continue to carry out,” said Chávez García.
The state official announced that these actions are part of an established scheme, which aims to inhibit criminal acts on the different highways of Tamaulipas.
For this reason, the 25 secure stations, located every 50 kilometers, are already ready, with elements of the State Guard that provide coverage throughout the Tamaulipas territory, and thus the arrival and free transit of compatriots is guaranteed.
Chávez García assured that, so far, no incidents have been registered and much less complaints against the elements of the State Guard by countrymen.
“No reports of extortion, nor complaints, no, they have not been made public. All the elements have the order to act with absolute transparency and to support the people, to carry out actions of proximity.
On November 2, we were handing out candy to children; different proximity events are held to show that the State Guard is there to support the population, so that they see us as their allies,” said the Tamaulipas official.
Yesterday, Tuesday, Tamaulipas authorities launched the “Héroes Paisanos” program, which was headed by the governor of Tamaulipas, Américo Villarreal.
