The family of Diego Gómez Lara, who has been missing since September in Cabo San Lucas, is demanding justice after the arrest of an American couple in Ensenada, allegedly linked to the case. Mariana Lara, Diego’s sister, said that the detainees would be involved in the disappearance of her brother. Although the young man has not yet been located, his family remains hopeful of obtaining answers.
“This is John Boyle alias Jack, he kidnapped my brother on Saturday, September 14th along with her, Katie June Boyle! (…) They have been on the run since Tuesday, September 17th. He is a VERY DANGEROUS man! A fraudster with a HUGE history of crimes against several people in Los Cabos BCS and Florida,” the woman wrote in a post on October 22nd of this year.
Through her social networks, Mariana Lara, sister of Diego Gómez Lara, expressed her hope that with the arrest of Katie June “N” and John Joseph “N” it will be possible to clarify what happened and determine the whereabouts of her brother, 33 years old. Diego was last seen on September 14 in the El Tezal neighborhood, in Cabo San Lucas, and since then his family has not stopped looking for answers about his disappearance.
“I want to inform all those who have been present in the disappearance of my brother that finally today Jack Boyle and Katie Boyle have been captured, finally today they are detained, before justice after these 60 days that we have lived without my brother. Thank you all once again, thank you God, universe and divinity for giving me this great opportunity to find my brother’s captors,” said Mariana Lara, Diego’s sister.
According to the arrest report, in the coming days, Baja California authorities are expected to transfer the detained couple to Baja California Sur authorities, in compliance with due process. This step will allow the formal start of investigations and will contribute to clarifying the facts related to the disappearance.
